Kids at play

We had to get some things out of the attic today and the kids decided to play up there. I am so thankful that the kids can entertain themselves and play for long periods of time. The three younger one were up there for the most part of the day. So I sent Tyler up to take some pictures of what they were doing. These are the pictures that he came back down with. My kids act silly and it is hard to get a decent picture of them, but at least they had fun.

The things kids do

Wondering where the kids were.... found them in the basement sliding down the steps on the surf board. They were having so much fun!!

Some pics of the kids

Trevor was helping me beat conch so that we could make some cracked conch. This is a very good food, but a lot of work to get the conch tender. Tim made a block and board so that we could beat the conch outside and make less mess in the house.

Tyler taking his turn at beating the conch.

Alexis was cleaning a fish all by herself.

Trevor and Tanner took this picture of Alexis after they put flowers in her hair.

Tim gave Tanner a haircut. He has always wanted a mohawk, but I wouldn't ever do it. So Tim cut his hair and I took a picture before Tim fixed his hair and made it look better again.

Back view of his hair. Ugh!!! Glad they shaved it the rest of the way off.

Not much going on.

I haven't posted a blog in a week. There just hasn't been much going on here that would be of much interest. I have had a bit of a rough week though, physically and emotionally. I haven't had much strength to make it through the days. The kids and Tim are battling a bit of a head cold I guess. They have had the stuffy heads, sore throat, etc. I haven't had that, but I just don't have much energy. It has been very cold and windy here (at least cold for us). So I think that is affecting us.

Emotionally I've been battling. My best friends uncle (which is a dear friend of mine) had open heart surgery and was doing well, but then took a turn for the worse. So that has been weighing on me all this week. I've been praying and trying to figure out whether I should go to the States to see him or not. Would appreciate your prayers for him. As of today I was told he is off of the breathing tube, which is an improvement from yesterday.

There are some other things in our life that we would appreciate your prayers. There are just so many concerns and cares in this world to deal with and we need to know God's direction.

Thanks so much.
