Christmas

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We enjoyed our day. We loved having the Dimmett girls here with us. here our some pictures for you to enjoy of our day.

I made these cookies on Christmas Eve. I had found a recipe in a book and thought I would try them. Everyone loved them!

Trevor has wanted a remote control boat for quite some time. I finally found this one here.
He picked it out before Christmas so already knew of it. The funny thing was I forgot this gift and a few more in the closet. We were almost done opening gifts and Tim asked where the sailboat was. So... I ran to the bedroom to get the rest of the gifts. Oops!!!!

Tanner with a mini pool table. This has been fun for all of us to play.

Tyler loves airplanes and anything to do with them. We found this aircraft carrier. He loves it!

Grace, Esther, and Ruth Dimmett. Thanks girls for spending some time with us. We enjoyed having you here. Thanks for all the work you did for us too.

Christmas Pictures

This morning before church I wanted to get some pictures of the kids. It is so hard to get the boys to take good pictures. So I included a goofy picture of them and then one that isn't to bad.

Making Cookies

I had a lot of fun letting everyone make sugar cookies. this is something I try to do every Christmas. My kids love helping cut out and frost the cookies.

Here is Ruth trying her hand at cookie cutting. She even rolled out the dough.

Tanner, Alexis and Erianna cutting out cookies. They had so much fun. I don't know if Erie has ever done this. She was fun to watch.

Here is Erie frosting the cookies. She would get so much frosting on her hands. So every once in awhile after she licked them clean i would have her go and wash her hands.

Painting

We have some more visitors here at our house. Three teenage girls from our home church in North Carolina have come to visit with us this Christmas season. So..... we have put them to work. They have been very helpful to us. One day that really messed up my living room by painting!! No, really, I loved having them finish this for me. They had fun painting it too I think. Thanks a lot girls.

Here is Grace and Alexis taking all of the books off of the shelf so that Tim could take it down, then the girls painted it.

Esther working on the trim work.

Oops!! Esther has paint on her hands!

A New Couch

We are excited about getting a new couch. This is something that has been needed for quite some time. One of the ladies on the board here at the church kept pushing for us to get another one, so today they bought us another couch and love seat. Very nice!!!

A Hamburger

This is one of our friends, Peguy. He is a regular that comes to our house. We take so much for granted being from the United States. We were eating hamburgers one night while Tim's parents were here. Peguy was here also, so Tim asked him if he had ever eaten a hamburger. He said no. So the process started with Tim trying to show him how to make a hamburger and eating it. We had a good laugh and he did too. He made his hamburger by putting everything on the bread, except the hamburger. He seemed to like the hamburger. He also liked the pizza that he tried a few days earlier (he had never had pizza before).

Peguy has been coming to the church here since shortly after we moved here. He has a strong interest in the Bible. Please pray for him.

A Lost tooth

I'm a little behind in keeping up to date on the blog. Tanner lost his first tooth the other week. he was so excited once he realized that it was gone. He woke up in the morning and no one could find it. The kids searched high and low for it, but had no luck. Since this picture he has lost another front tooth.

Birthday Boy!!

My little boy has turned 7. Wow!! He has grown up so much. As I reflect over the past seven years, I am so thankful to the Lord for allowing me to live and to be able to raise Tanner. As many of you may know, God worked a miracle in my life after Tanner was born. God healed my body and allowed me to live. i was not suppose to live, I had a one percent chance of making it. God reached down and touched my body and I am alive because of Him.
Tanner is such a tender heart. He is always the first to say something nice to me. He will come up to me and say "Mom, you are beautiful" or Mom, I love you. He will give me a hug and it just makes my day. Some days it helps me make it through that day.
Tanner, I am very thankful to the Lord for you being brought into our lives. I love you very much.

Grandma and Grandpa Archibald are here visiting us and she made Tanner's cake. It is a ghost. He was very excited to have a cake that grandma made instead of a plain cake that I can only make. Thanks, mom for making the cake.
Blowing out the number seven candle. Grandma is looking on.

Tanner wanted some airplanes for his gift. So when our friend, Wendy came down we had her bring some from Walmart. Seeing the Walmart bag was a treat also. Ha!!

A beautiful sunset

The other night we were on the beach with our friend and got to see this beautiful sunset. I enjoy watching sunsets, especially when I'm on the beach. I love to see the beauty that God allows us to see.

An early Christmas

We had a friend from FL come to visit us for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed having her here. She brought some presents for the kids and so we had an early Christmas. The boys got some little models of a four wheeler, helicopter and a motorcycle and some hot chocolate. Alexis got an etch a sketch, a dora lunch box and hot chocolate. They really enjoyed this mini Christmas. Thank you so much Wendy for coming to visit us.

Here is Tyler opening his gift.

More of what has been happening

So much has happened while we were without power. One sad thing was that Trevor's cat Cheetah died. She fell out the window and from what we can tell, broke her neck. Trevor was very upset and it was decided for him to get another kitten. So we have another cat and her name is Panther. She is a very good cat for the most part.

Her is Trevor with Panther.

Panther is very smart. she likes to read. Here she is with the book "The town mouse and the country mouse".
