Visiting with my best friend

After the wedding the kids and I went to spend a couple of days in Northern Ohio with my friend. Tim went on back to NC with his other nephews. I always enjoy spending time with Shelley. We have known each other since I was in college and she was still in high school. I use to live at her house for awhile, and had loads of fun!! We still have loads of fun when we get together. While at her house I celebrated my 36th birthday. She got me a cake and some candles. I don't have any pictures of those because we had already cut the cake before I remembered to get a picture.

Thanks, Shell, for letting us stay there. I value our friendship very much.

Nephews wedding

We were able to go to Ohio for Tim's nephew, Stephen's wedding. Tim was one of the groomsmen.

Alexis and Emily(she goes to our church in NC and was there). they are real sweet together.

Trevor and Brianna. These two have been "a couple" for a long time. It is funny to watch them. So I had to get a picture of them and to tease them a bit that in ten years or so it may be their wedding we were all attending.

It has been awhile

I should have updated a long time ago that Tyler had made it to Colorado safely. He seems to be enjoying his time with family there. yesterday he was able to go on a hike and get some pictures. Once he gets back in July maybe I'll be able to post some pics of his trip.

In the air

Please pray for Tyler. He is flying on his own to Colorado to spend the summer with my parents. This is the first time that he has flown alone. He has been wanting to do this for quite a while now and the Lord has worked it out to where he can go and then come back with them in July when they come back east. Last that I talked to Tyler he was on his last leg of the journey. He had a change over in MN. Things were going well and we thank the Lord for all that He has done thus far and trusting Him to continue to help.

The Lord has helped me in letting Tyler go. I know that at some point the mother has to allow her child to grow and spread his wings. I just never thought I would be allowing him to do this at the age of 14. Tyler is very well behaved for the most part and we trust him and God has given me a peace in allowing Tyler to do this. I know I will miss him over the next five weeks or so until I can have him safely back home, but know that he will enjoy his time with his grandparents too.

Please pray for him throughout today.

Mother's Day

I am blessed to be a Mother to four wonderful children. I'm thankful God has allowed me to have them here on earth with me to raise. I only pray that I fulfill that awesome calling that He has placed upon me.

I don't have any pictures because my batteries were dead in the camera.

Hope everyone Mother out there had a great day.

Tyler's 14th Birthday

Tyler turned 14 on Sunday, May 3rd. I'm just now having the time to post pictures of his birthday. We celebrated his birthday on Saturday because we had a service to go to on Sunday. His grandma baked his birthday cake for him and I'm thankful she did. I'm not good at doing cakes so this was a big help to me. Tyler picked out some small airplanes for his gifts. He collects airplanes. I'm glad that God gave me Tyler for my son. He is a good boy overall and I pray that he turns his life completely over to God and will serve Him one day.

Here is grandma and grandpa Archibald

Trying to blow out the candles. It took him a couple of blows to get them all out!
