Meet Wilbur

Well, we have another addition to our family. This is Wilbur. We got him yesterday at the flea market. My sister in law said that if we get anymore animals that we need to name it to go along with our cat, Cinderella and the cow, Belle. So I tried to think of a name of one of the male characters, but the only one I could come up with was Prince Charming and I could not see calling a pig by that name. So the younger kids thought that Wilbur would do. The only catch is that Wilbur will eventually be breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This is Wilbur getting a bath. He stunk something awful when we brought him home. The bath made him at least look a little better!!

Guard Dog

Trevor has gotten us a guard dog! He has wanted a dog for a while now and finally got one. His name is Tucker (in case you can't tell, we like the letter "T" in our family). I am not much of a dog person, but I do have to say that little Tucker has captured my heart. Tim laughs at me because I am usually the one that has to take care of it. I even allowed Tucker to spend one day in the house (anyone that knows me knows that I don't care much to have an inside animal), but I felt so sorry for him one day with the weather being rainy and cold. he couldn't exercise much in his tupperware box. The next day I got him a pen made for him and since that day he has been an outside dog. He is fun to have around and I'm sure will bring many days of enjoyment for the kids and me. Ha!!

Another year older

Alexis celebrated her 6th birthday. She wanted a Barbie cake and so Grandma Archibald baked it for her. She is very good at baking cakes and I appreciate all of the cakes she has baked for my kids.

The pictures are out of order from what I wanted them, but you can see them anyways.

Here she is blowing out her candles.

We gave her a Barbie house for her present. Here she is playing with it.

Getting her first look at her barbie house.

I am very thankful the Lord has blessed me with a little girl. She is so loving and I pray that she will serve the Lord. Happy 6th birthday, Alexis (on the 23rd of September).

Our little Belle

Our little farm is growing. We had a calf given to us and so we are busy bottle feeding it off and on during the day. She has just started eating some grass and grain. The kids love having her around and some have already tried to ride on her. We hope that having the kids in the pen and caring for her then she will grow up to be fairly tame.

our house

Thought I would post a few pictures of our house.

Here is the cat that the renters left in the house. It is now an outside cat and Alexis named her Cinderella.

Tyler's room they painted a bad yellow color. We had it a nice yellow that matched his John Deere things, but now is a peeling and looks bad.
They painted Tanner's room a pepto bismal pink. he said he was not sleeping in a pink room so it is now Alexis' room.

The front of our house.

We eventually want to redo a room at a time in the house as the money comes in. We will post pictures whenever that happens, which will be a LONG time I'm sure, but it is nice to be back in our own house again.

Tim's new toy

Tim has been wanting a tractor for a long time. He finally has one. It is a Allis Chambers. Our neighbor down the road died in July. We were blessed to be able to take him some food almost every day and spend a little bit of time with him. If you would have known our neighbor, you would have found out that he was a difficult man to get to know. He was very reserved and wouldn't allow people to come on his property much. A few years ago Tim was able to get to know him and be able to talk with him off and on. He would still not allow me or the kids to come without Tim. Towards the end of his life he allowed me and the kids to come into his home and bring him food and talk with him. This was a huge change and I enjoyed being able to talk with him and spend a bit of time hopefully making his life for the better for him. We hope and pray that something that was said to him made him think of his eternal state and make things right with God, but we don't have much hope of him making it to heaven. Only God knows that for sure.

Anyways, before his death Tim was able to get to know his brother. He wanted us to have one of the tractors. So Tim was able to purchase this one and he is very happy to have it. He has some work to do on it, but hopefully it will help us get a nice garden in next year.

Alexis goes to the dentist

A while back all the kids had to go to the dentist for their cleaning. The boys had been there before, but Alexis had never been. So of course I just had to take the camera along and get some pictures for her scrapbook. She did real well and no cavities.

Getting her teeth cleaned.

she had to have a flouride treatment done. And so the lady put on a whole bunch and made it look as though she was foaming at the mouth.
