Laundry Day

Today I did laundry. This is an all day process. I am not one that likes to do laundry all week long so I try to do it once a week. Plus it helps to save on water to do it once a week. I start out by sorting all the clothes and then I go out to the shed. I pull the water hose in to the washer and fill it up. Then put my first load in and after it washes the water is pumped into a barrel on the left of the washer. Then back to the water hose to fill the washer up for the rinse cycle. After that cycle is over the water is pumped into a barrel on the right side of the washer. I then hang the clothes on the line and go back to the shed to fill the washer up with the wash water. I use a bucket to get it out of the barrels and back into the washer. I have to do this with every wash and rince cycle. When the water is to dirty to use anymore it is pumped out a hole in the shed to the outside. The wind blows fairly well here so it doesn't take long to dry on the line. The worst part of doing laundry for me is to put it away. I hate to put clothes away, it seems to take me forever to get it done. Otherwise I don't mind doing laundry

Wahoo!! Here you are. Glad you are well. Seeing your laundry pics reminded me of living on the Indian reserve up north and filling up our wringer washer. Ah. The memories of laundry day!! And let your kids put their own clothes away. :o)

Your laundry process makes me tired just reading it...bless your heart. At least I had running water to the washing machine, but didn't have a dryer...smiles...
