Conch

Have you wondered what a conch is? We mentioned it on deputation and showed a conch shell to many. Well, Tim and a friend of ours, Joe Smith, found some while they were diving. Joe showed Tim how to get the conch out of its shell and cut it up. It is a snail and fixed many ways. Conch salad, conch fritters, cracked conch, to mention a few. We like to eat it. It is the consistency of a clam. So if you like clams then you would probably like conch. Here are a few pictures of cutting up the conch.

Hi Connie,
I love your blog.
I know what conch is like and you're not fooling me! HA! I had it several years ago during a weekend VBS trip to the Bahamas. It was like eating grizzle from ham--and I have a very sensitive stomach. I'll never forget trying to keep from gagging and forcing myself to swallow without making a scene. I didn't want to be rude to the native people who bought my friends and I supper, so I ate all of it.

Its good to see that you and your family are doing well.
Your friend,
