Kindergarten Graduation

My little girl has reached another milestone in her life. Where have the years went? This past school year she started kindergarten. I had to teach her to read. I was very fortunate to not have to teach the boys to read. so I was very concerned about teaching Alexis. The Lord helped and she can read. I'm very thankful for the Lord's help this past year with school work, also for Tim's help. He did a lot for me also in helping with the kids school work.

Alexis finished kindergarten while we were in the islands and we told her that once we got back to North Carolina and could get a gown, etc. ordered for her that she could have a little graduation party. She was very excited when her gown arrived in the mail. She started to invite all of her friends. There ended up being 12 people plus our family. It was a nice time to reflect on what she accomplished. One thing she did tell me before was that she was not going to talk. (We had been to some graduations since being back where the seniors gave a speech and she was not going to do that). She is excited about first grade and keeps asking when we are going to buy her school work. Soon, I say.

I thank the Lord for my little girl and how far she has come in her learning and pray that one day she decides to turn her life over to Him and serve Him.

A dear friend of mine, Mandy, made the cake.. She always does such a wonderful job. Thanks, Mandy.

Alexis had to walk into the room. All eyes were on her.

Another cute picture.
