Milk

Oh! the joy of finding bargains. Today milk was on sale for 99 cents. It is cheaper to buy half gallons then a whole gallon of milk here. We have been using powder milk and a lot of milk called parmalat(this is milk in a carton that can be stored on a shelf), as this has been a bit cheaper. We would buy regular off and on, but to find it this cheap I bought 10 half gallons (which is 5 gallons). So now we will freeze it and use it when needed. To have real milk with my cookies. YUM!!!!!

ANNIVERSARY

Today Tim and I celebrated our 14th anniversary. Wow!! Where have the years went? I am so thankful for Tim's persistence in trying to get me to date him while we were at GBS. God has really helped us in our marriage and I am very thankful to Him for bringing Tim into my life. Tim surprised me by putting in some pipes so I could have hot water at my kitchen sink. Since moving here I've had to boil water whenever I needed to do dishes. Now I can just turn on the hot water and do dishes. That is so nice! Thank you Tim, I love you very much!!

Tyler fixed grilled chicken for us. That was very sweet of him.

Here is a picture of us.

Trevor

Trevor is our destructive child. He likes to chop things down. We were on our way back to the house last week and he wanted to see if he could cut down a huge cactus tree. So...... he started whacking it, and whacking it, and whacking it. He cut for awhile and then today he finished cutting it down. Of course, I didn't have the camera with me to show the tree falling down. He was a little worried about it falling on him, but thankfully it didn't. He didn't want to deal with cactus all over him again. He was covered in cactus spines when he was two years old.

Conch

Have you wondered what a conch is? We mentioned it on deputation and showed a conch shell to many. Well, Tim and a friend of ours, Joe Smith, found some while they were diving. Joe showed Tim how to get the conch out of its shell and cut it up. It is a snail and fixed many ways. Conch salad, conch fritters, cracked conch, to mention a few. We like to eat it. It is the consistency of a clam. So if you like clams then you would probably like conch. Here are a few pictures of cutting up the conch.

Bargain

Today I found a bargain. These are hard to find here. I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things and found hamburger, chicken breast and bacon on sale. I don't see very many sales in the store. The hambuger was $1.99 a pound. It is usually $4-6.00/lb. Chicken breast was also $1.99/lb. This is anywhere from $4-5.00/lb. and I also bought some bacon, which I don't normally buy as it is to expensive, but seeing that it was also $1.99 per pack. I bought some. So I thank the Lord for this find.

Wore Out

The three little ones were very wore out from spending the day on the beach. They fell asleep on the way home.
